The entire Southwest United States and Four Corners region is a hotbed for outdoor recreation, history and sightseeing, and has some of the most spectacular national parks and monuments in the world. It’s no wonder that a small shop, located in Navajo Country, has a lot of visitors stopping by as they drive through to their next adventure in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Rainbow Bridge National Monument, Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Canyonlands National ParkCapitol Reef National ParkArches National Park, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and Mesa Verde National Park.
 
Established in 1989, Twin Rocks Trading Post is one destination that every art and culture lover should have on their hit list. Situated underneath the unique Navajo Twins formation, the shop has museum-quality ancient art as well as handcrafted Native American and Southwest art. Local proprietors, Barry and Steve Simpson, pride themselves on having lively discussions surrounding contemporary Native American Indian art collecting, and are known for the respect and fairness they show to their artists. They specialize in turquoise jewelry and natural turquoise gems, Navajo jewelry, Navajo rugs and baskets, Hopi jewelry, Zuni jewelry and carvings, and Southwest jewelry and folk art.

People flock to the Twin Rocks Trading Post for its authenticity and expertise in Navajo basketry and contemporary Native American turquoise jewelry. They have also brought popularity to the Twin Rocks Modern Navajo Rug, “the first Navajo weaving design in decades.”

Twin Rocks Trading Post is located at 913 E. Navajo Twins Drive in Bluff, Utah. It is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to  6 p.m. If you get hungry after looking at all of the unique items at the trading post, head next door to the Twin Rock Cafe for a quick bite.
